EdX is the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform offered by MIT, Harvard, University of California Berkely and Univesity of Texas. This online platform include many courses ranging from Engineering to Art and Humanities, and recently many educational institutions worldwide joined the project, including, Pekin University and Tsinghua Univesity, both from China, Kyoto University from Japan, Technical University of Munich from Germany, and many more. The project not only offer quality content to students worldwide, but also serves to gather information for research into distance learning.
