Coursera is a technology company behind the commercial MOOC founded by University of Stanford professors, unlike other non-profit MOOC's, Coursera has a unique business plan that include services and special offerings to students, and a source of revenue. The platform offers the most diverse and broadest courses available, it has the biggest number of courses than any other MOOC. It has also made a number of partnership with high profile Universities around the world to offer courses taught in other languages including, Chinese, French,Arabic and German, thus, reaching a truly global audience.
The student after completing the course, can order a certification online, or also can pay for other exclusive services including: introducing students to potential employers and recruiters tutoring, and sponsorships.
